Excellent reflections on joy in the midst of reality

Dated but interesting

I went into *The Last Letter* knowing I was probably going to cry. As a bereaved mother, books like this always hit differently, and yes—I definitely shed a few tears. That said, I struggled with the ending. It felt more like emotional shock for the sake of it than a conclusion that naturally fit the story. I understand what the author was trying to do, but for me, it simply didn't make sense and took away from what had been an otherwise engaging read. ?????
